Port60 hosts the websites of working charities, mosques, churches and community groups. Their sites run on templates, and the templates come from independent developers like you: designed against a published contract, reviewed by a person, and sold through a marketplace where your share of every sale goes straight to your own Stripe account.

How the program works

1. Sign up free. A developer account costs nothing and needs no card. Every applicant is reviewed by a person before the studio opens; publishing to real non-profits is a trust position and we treat it like one.

2. Build with the kit. Templates are Liquid, CSS and a manifest, built and validated locally with @port60/template-kit from npm. The kit checks your work against the same contract our pipeline enforces, so what passes locally passes review for the mechanical parts.

3. Upload from your studio. One zip upload creates the template or adds a version; the platform reads your manifest and fills the rest in. Every version is reviewed before it can reach a non-profit's site.

4. List it, free or priced. A listed template appears in every organisation's site picker. Charities preview it on their own live content and can try a paid template before buying; a free listing licenses at no charge and is a fine way to build a reputation.

5. Get paid by Stripe, not by invoice. When a paid template sells, the sale price minus Port60's marketplace fee (currently 20%) transfers to your connected Stripe account automatically, and Stripe pays your bank on its own schedule. No invoicing, no chasing, no minimum payout.

Things worth knowing before you start

Licences are permanent: a non-profit that bought your template keeps it even if you later unlist. You warrant the work is yours, and rights-holders have a takedown route; upheld claims carry strikes. Buyer trials place a card hold rather than a charge, so a cancelled trial costs nobody anything. The full terms are short and readable: the developer agreement and the notice-and-takedown policy.
